Obituary
Robert John Voorhees, 95, of North Ft. Myers, FL passed away on March 9, 2020 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral. He was born on June 9, 1924 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Robert Nevin Voorhees and Hannah (Clayton) Voorhees. Robert served in the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran. He was the owner of many Racehorses, and he was the owner of Jules Restaurant in Jersey City, NJ. Robert was a member of the American Legion and he loved BINGO. He is survived by his son, Carl Voorhees and his wife Lynn; his son, Gerard Voorhees and his wife Marleen; his daughter, Judy Grocki; his daughter, Barbara Giordano; his son, John Vitelli; his brother, Artie Voorhees; his grandchildren, Melissa, Julia, Nicole, Christina, Michelle, Jennifer, Victoria, Elise, David, Lisa, Laura, and John, and his close and dear companion, Fran Moffitt. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Voorhees, his son, James Vitelli, and his daughter, Lynne Free. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, FT. Myers, FL.
