Obituary

Allison – Rodger Earl Allison, 79, died Tuesday, March 31st, at Advent Health Hospital in Daytona, Florida.

Rodger was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Sharon Allison; his son Jeffrey Allison, his parents, his half-brother Lloyd Lucas, half- sister Donna Lucas, brother Richard Allison, half-brother Kalvin P. Alexander, half-sister Pamela Alexander and half-sister Dawn Sue Williams.

Rodger is survived by his son Roger Andrew Allison (Raquel Owens) of Jonesville, daughter Dawn Elizabeth Staats (Kevin Staats) of Jackson and son Tracey Lynn Allison (Marilynne Tooker) of Ormond Beach, Florida.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan Allison, Rachel Elizabeth Bawks, Ross Evan Allison, Alyson Nicole Bundy,  Brandon Tyler Allison and Nathan TJ Owens, his great-grandchildren,  Carter Bawks, Ayden Allison, Quinn Bawks, Alyx Allison, Noah Bawks, Jack Bundy, Leo Allison, Peyton Bundy, McKayla Allison and Emma Bundy, his half-brother Perry Alexander of Terlton, Oklahoma, his half-sister Mary Simonetti of Ocala, Florida, and his half-brother Thomas (Alexander) Kincaid of Ionia, Michigan.

He was born in Antrim County, Michigan, the son of Andrew Allison and Lavona Mary Wheeler.  Rodger moved to Jackson, Michigan at the age of 13.  He moved to Homer, Michigan for a few years and then he returned to Jackson and lived there until 2018 when he moved to Ormond Beach, Florida.

Rodger was a general laborer and worked at Lynair Inc. until his retirement. He met his wife at Goodwill Industries where they both worked. He enjoyed camping, fishing and socializing.  He spent many summers at Angel Cove Campground in Coldwater, Michigan.  He also enjoyed country music, watching the FDR channel, gospel music and the oldies.  He enjoyed going to the Gospel Barn in Reading, Michigan.

Rodger Earl Allison is under the care of Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Ormond Beach, FL.
