Obituary
Ronald Hampton, a loving husband, father, son, brother, friend, life-long resident of Titusville and owner/operator of Ron Hamptons Roofing and Painting, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends supporting him as always at his bedside on July 30, 2020 at the young age of 65.
Ron is survived by his his wife; Deborah, daughters, Candice (Adam) Vaknin and Niome and fiancé Chuck Sulick, son, Clifton, stepdaughter Malia Zuccarelli, father, Marion, sister, Carol (Steve) Fecher, brother Pat (Sandy) Hampton, grandchildren Tyler, Lexi, Dominic, Kaden, Breanna, Brie, and Adam, many nieces and nephews, and best friends Richard (Terrie) Franklin. He is predeceased by his brother, Bobby; and his mother, Dagmar.
Ron was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 21, 1954 to Marion and Dagmar. He grew up in a military family moving frequently until settling in Titusville in 1966. He graduated from THS in 1972, he also served in the United States Air Force, and at the age of 27 started C&R Roofing. He retired from the Cape after 18 years and started his own business again in 2006 as he was well known for around town. Prior to his passing he bought a cabin in Tennessee which he soon wanted to retire to sit on the porch looking out at the surrounding mountains. He was a very hard worker who took a lot of pride in everything he did. He played as hard as he worked. He enjoyed riding his Harley, going muddin’ in the woods, being with family, being on a roof, and traveling to his cabin. Ron was a happy go lucky, fun loving soul who never met a stranger and was loved by so many. He will be missed by all those who adored him and loved him, but for now heaven has gained a beautiful soul. We will all miss his smile, dances, pranks, and laughs.
A Celebration of Life Is tentatively planned for September 13th, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Sandpoint Park pavilion.
Per the family’s request, please also bring a photo or two that you may have of Ron and yourself to share.
