Obituary

Hank Stoveland, beloved husband of Patricia, passed away at his home in Daytona Beach on March 19th at the age of 80.  Hank was predeceased by his parents Edwin T. and Kathrina Pederson Stoveland, and his brother Edwin P. Stoveland.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons Carl (Wendy) and Douglas (Staci) and his two beloved granddaughters Mikayla and Paige. He will also be remembered by his nieces Marie (Bob) Milo and Susan (Charlie) Schumann nephew Paul (Sue) Stoveland, grandniece Dani Stoveland, and sister-in-law Amy Stoveland. Born in the Bronx NY, Hank was destined to be a lifelong Yankee fan, spending many summer days cheering for (or yelling at) his favorite team. He moved to Blooming Grove NY as a young married man and became involved in his community serving as a volunteer and eventually President of the Independence Fire Company in Blooming Grove NY and as a Troop Leader for Boy Scout Troop 216.  Hank was a 3rd. generation Mason and was recently recognized for 55 years of membership. During his time with the Masons, Hank served as Master of three different lodges (Wyoming 492, Hudson River 309 and Cornerstone 711 F&AM). Committed to developing the next generation of young men, Hank served as a DeMolay Advisor (Masonic boys group) and was awarded the Guild of the Leather Apron (Advisor of the Year) and inducted into the New York DeMolay Hall of Fame. Hank relocated to Daytona Beach in 2012 and enjoyed teasing his NY friends about his new found love for wearing shorts every day and never having to worry about snow and ice.

His life will be celebrated at a memorial to be held at a later date. in lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Masonic Brotherhood Fund in Ronald’s memory. Baldwin Brothers Port is in charge of arrangements
