Obituary
Rosalyn Ann Anderson, 96. Passed away on April 19th, 2024.
The epic Energizer Bunny has finally completed her course in life. Rosie was a lifelong force of
movement and energy in all she loved in life which include, but not limited to, her church, First
United Methodist, the League of Women Voters, working out at the “Y”, volunteering at the
hospital, being a POA leader. Music was a large part of her life and she was has been involved
with numerous musical programs. Rosalyn travelled to all the corners of the world, but England
was one of her favorites which included several trips visiting friends with a backpack in hand.
Rosie was married for 43 years to her great love, Robert. She is survived by her three children:
Daniel, Susan (Weir) and Kathleen, son-in-law, Lou Weir and daughter-in-law, Lydia Anderson;
her grandchildren: Shana, Andrew, Quentin and Marshall, and her great-grandson Avery Blair.
She was the first person to stand up and volunteer to do things in any organization she was part
of. Rosie organized Thanksgiving dinners for hundreds, travelled to mission trips around the
world including Central America, where the locals were not used to liberated women and had to
pry the cement shovel from her hands. She painted rooms, helped with landscaping, would
show up any time and any where to be a hand of help. Volunteering in her community was as
natural to her as brushing her teeth.
She was a loyal and generous friend. Wherever Rosie lived, she has left warm circle of
friendship. Rosie has left the world a better place for her being in it, as much as any human
being might ask for. She will be sorely missed.
All are invited to attend a memorial service in her honor on Tuesday, May 28th at 11 a.m. at First
United Methodist, 411 Turner St., Clearwater, Fl. 33756.

So glad you are free and on the next adventure you were looking forward to. And also feeling the loss of being able to give each other a hug and our daily phone chats.
