Obituary

Rosemarie Elizabeth Darwell, 70, went to be with her Lord on September 10, 2012 after a long illness. She lived in Ormond Beach the last several years of her life, attending Tomoka United Methodist Church. She was born in Lynn, MA, and graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1960. She attended the 50th reunion in 2010 and enjoyed seeing her classmates. Rose lived in the Southcoast area until 1986, when she moved to Altamonte Springs, FL. She was active in many social clubs at that time. In 2001, she and her husband retired to New Smyrna Beach, FL, enjoying the beach, scrapbooking and were former members of the Sugar Mill Country Club. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren, the lights of her life.   She is the daughter of the late Gerard Gagne and Elizabeth Wayman; survived by her loving husband of 46 years, George; daughter Donna (Steve) Zeh of New Smyrna Beach, FL; son Jeff (Kristie) Darwell of Fern Park, FL; sisters Marilyn Mason of Boston, MA and Germane Joseph of Fall River, MA; and seven nieces and nephews.   A Celebration of her life will be September 15, 2012 at 11am in the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church New Smyrna Beach 200 Faulkner Street with the Reverend Luke McKinney officiating. Refreshments to follow.

    George, Donna and Jeff,
I was saddened to read in the Standard Times of Rosie's passing. It has been many years since we have seen each other but I have fond memories of her outgoing outlook while not feeling well. George, enjoy the memories.

My deepest sympathy goes out to this family. The loss of a loved one is a terrible experience. But there is hope ahead for all of us. Soon we will be reunited with our loved ones. Jesus' made this promise at (John 5:28-29) “Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out,” Just think about it, no more sickness, old age, or death. “God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”—Revelation 21:3, 4.To the family, I am so sorry for your loss.

Rose was the sweetest Lady! Wonderful to be with her at the class reunion. I recall how she loved her husband, and she very much appreciated the help of her daughter and son.
