Obituary
Roy Redman, 86 died Monday, August 19, 2019 in Ocala, Florida surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday , September 7th, 2019 at On Top Of The World Health and Recreation Center in Ocala, Florida.
Roy is survived by his beautiful wife Barbara of 53 years, along with his two lovely daughters and wonderful grandson. Roy was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He loved sports, especially baseball, where his favorite team was the New York Yankees.
He was born in Gatun, Panama and for over 34 years, worked as a Fire Fighter for the Department of Defense, Panama Canal Zone Commission, Fire Division.
Two of his favorite sayings were, “Stay Positive” and “Have Hope”. He lived his life by these mottos. His family heard this often and loved him for his continuous encouragement and support of his family. He was devoted to his grandson and made sure to never miss a single school activity or baseball practices or games.
Roy spent his free time gardening, staying fit and watching various sports games live and on TV. He also enjoyed movies and reading. He will be greatly missed!
