Obituary

Sharon Memoli was born on July 19th, 1943, the daughter of Clifford and Kathleen Lampitt in Manhattan, New York.   She was one of five siblings including Pam, Bruce, Scott, Craig and Blair. Upon graduation from high school, she met the love of her life, Al Memoli.  Sharon was just 17 years old when she and Al were married at St. Gabriel’s church in Saddle River, New Jersey on July 1st, 1961. She joined Al in Springfield, Mass. when he was stationed at Westover, Airforce Base.

When Al was assigned overseas duty to Thule, Greenland, Sharon joined Rose and Guy Memoli who had just retired to Cape Coral, Florida.  The couple was very happily reunited when Al was discharged from the Air Force in 1964.  With military service behind them, they settled down and started raising a family.  Guy was born in Springfield, Mass while Al was serving in the Airforce. Kathleen was born in Fort Myers in 1965.

Sharon was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She had an amazing ability to listen, understand and solve problems shared by family members and friends.  Sharon expressed compassion, humility and genuine care and concern for all and was dearly loved by everyone fortunate to know her.

During a prolonged illness, Sharon demonstrated amazing strength and courage.  She passed away on October, 3rd, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  She leaves behind her devoted husband of 59 years, Al Memoli, Son, Guy Memoli and Daughter, Kathleen Memoli.  Sharon’s grandchildren include Stephen and Brian Slota and great grandchildren, Audrey, Caleb, Luke and Vivienne.
