Shirley Hamilton Thomas, 90, New Smyrna Beach FL died Monday, May 29, 2012. He was a snowbird to the area for many years moving here permanently in 1991. Shirley served our nation in the US Navy during WWII as a Quartermaster. He was graduated from University of Virginia and worked for the US Government as a Cartographer. He enjoyed gardening and was awarded the Garden of the Month by the Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce. He traveled extensively all over the world and enjoyed it. He leaves to cherish his memory several nieces and nephews; Richard Haynes, Susan Anderson, Edward Haynes, Thomas Haynes, Jeffery Thomas and Shirley Edwards. Military Honors and committal services will be at King David Memorial Gardens in Falls Church, VA.
