Obituary

Stacy Ann Curry 56, passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2022 with her family by her side.

Stacy was born in Denver, Colorado on May 30th, 1965 to Fred and Marian Gamble. She attended Miami University of Ohio for her bachelors degree and that is where she met the love of her life Rich. They married on August 19,1986 and moved back to Colorado after graduation where she began her 30-year career in elementary education and started their family. Stacy and Rich have three children, daughters Alex and Gabi and a son Hayes.

Stacy walked with the Lord boldly and faithfully and always lived out her faith in Jesus Christ. She put the needs of others ahead of her own and constantly displayed unconditional love to all those around her. She was the picture of what a Christian wife, mother and woman should be.

Stacy is survived by her husband of 35 years, Rich; daughters Alex and Gabi; son Hayes and daughter in law Laura; mother Marian; her sister Lisa; and her brother Mark. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 7th @ 11:30AM @ Redeemer Church, 8400 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919.

I just recently heard about the passing of Mrs. Curry from a family friend. She was my all-time favorite teacher at Summit Elementary in the early 90s. Because of her, I had a life long dream of becoming a teacher and have strived to be just like her with my own students. I am forever grateful for the impact that she had on me. I will always remember her sweet smile and kindness.

She was a light everywhere she went. She was such a vital part of our church. She started a Women's Prayer Group on Wednesday mornings where we prayed, talked about our lives and what was going on in them, and how we could help each other. The group now will be called "Stacy's Hour of Prayer".

It was my honor to have her known her. She was a great woman for God. God bless her children and Rich.

Mrs. Curry was such an amazing teacher. She inspired me every day. I’m devastated that she has passed. She made us all the people that we are today and she will forever be in our memories. We love you Mrs Curry!
