Stephanie Shannon Kelly
Stephanie Shannon Kelly was born January 4, 1973 in Orlando Florida and died peacefully on January 25, 2020 at Cornerstone Hospice House in the Villages Florida.
Stephanie was raised in Orlando and attended MorningStar Catholic School in Orlando Florida. Stephanie was born with Downs Syndrome and later developed Alzheimer’s Disease. MorningStar School is the only Special-Needs school within the Diocese of Orlando and she attended their since she was 2.5 years old until 2006.
Stephanie loved to dance, sing and bowl. She participated in The Special Olympics. In 1992 she received the Disney Doer and Dreamer award where she was recognized for her extraordinary accomplishments and for possessing Curiosity, Confidence, Courage and Constancy.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joseph and Catherine Skowron and Bryant and Beverly Kelly.
Stephanie leaves behind her parents, John and Mary Kelly The Villages, Fl, her sister and brother -in-law Brandy (Kelly) and Ken Hjortsberg, niece, Kate Hjortsberg and her nephews, Griffen and Hampton Hjortsberg, all of Denver North Carolina. Her aunt and uncles Rebekah (Kevin) Davidson, Montverde Florida, William (Susan) Kelly Amelia, Ohio and Tim (Debbie) Kelly, Oclawaha, Florida, Great Aunt Jane Gadziala, Melbourne Beach Florida as well as several cousins.
A celebration of Stephanies life will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Florida at 3pm.

So deeply saddened to learn of your loss. While we did not know Stephanie personally, the write up captures and creates a picture of "pure joy." May her vibrant spirit in this life and the absolute knowledge that she is celebrating with Christ, your family already and heaven, and all the Saints bring you some measure of consolation.
