I’m a cousin in Canada who connected with him quite a few years ago. My g-grandfather was James Russell Puttroff, brother of Steve’s g-grandfather Merrill Puttroff.
My Dad was in the USAF and a WWII vet who settled down in Newfoundland, Canada in 1959.
Steve gave me a lot of great information on my ancestors from his valuable research and we often chatted on Facebook and email.
My condolences to all of Steve’s family. I will miss hearing from him.
We will truly miss you.
