Obituary

Steven Allen Bennett, 58 of Hendersonville, TN died Sunday, March 18, 2012 in a scuba diving accident.  Steven was born January 27, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to Irene and Melvin Bennett.  He moved to Tennessee with his brother, Daniel in 1973.  Steven graduated from Southern Missionary College with his A.S. Nursing degree and has worked at Sumner County Regional Hospital, Gallatin, TN for many years.  Steven enjoyed scuba diving, motorcycle riding and photography.   He will be remembered for his  kindness and generosity to others.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene.  Steven is survived by his father, Melvin; three brothers, Terry, Daniel and Larry; sister, Nancy Bennett - Sullivan and many nieces and nephews.  A life celebration will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Florida Hospital Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2800 North Orange Avenue, Orlando with the Pastor Jeff Cinquemani officiating.  A Life Celebration in his honor will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 1:00pm at Florida Hospital Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2800 North Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32804.

    I have fond memories of Christmas holidays, and warm summer days, enjoying cousin Steven's genuinely kind smile, and pleasant presence. He was a gentleman, and cared about others, evidenced by his life of service. Sincere condolences to the Bennett family-we will all miss Steve. The Bible promises that we will see Steve again, in heaven, with Aunt Irene.
