Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Steven Greenup, 33, of Cut and Shoot, Texas on April 16, 2024. He was born on June 4, 1990, in Hamilton, Montana to Shane Greenup and Suzanne Smith. Steven attended Texas Tech University, where he pursued Civil Engineering. After college he furthered his education in pursuing Software Development. He was a passionate supporter of Texas Tech Football and loved watching games with his family and friends, unless Tech was losing. Golfing and woodworking were more of Steven’s passions, but above all, he treasured the moments spent with his beloved nieces, nephews. Steven’s radiant smile and his playful sense of humor will be dearly missed. He will be remembered as a kindhearted Son, a loving Uncle and tremendous Brother. He is survived by his mother and stepfather; Suzanne and Brian, stepmother; Kimberly, brothers; Derek, Garrett, Josh, Jeffery, Dane, and Reece, sisters-in-law; Courtney and Kalyn, nieces; Charlotte, Everette, and Samantha, nephews; Case, Tuck, Bransen, and Casey, and many loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Shane, who unfortunately passed away earlier this year. The family is working on getting a celebration of life planned, and the event will be posted on social media. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) in Steven’s honor. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude for the support and love they have received during this difficult time.
