Susan “Sue” Dunn Kaylor
Sue was born on May 23, 1924 in Corona, Alabama and passed away on November 29, 2019 in Fort Myers, FL
Sue was born and raised in Alabama, She and her girlfriends whistled everyday at the cute boy delivering milk for his and his father’s dairy farm. Luckily that cute boy had an eye for Sue and after dating they got married on August 22, 1945. They had their first child in Alabama. Sue and “Tal” Charles Talmage Kaylor and their baby moved to Jacksonville, FL. where “Tal” worked for the Naval Air Station, NAS Jax for 37 years. Two years later on a trip back home Sue delivered their second child in Alabama. Then six years later they would have their third child in Jacksonville, FL
Sue was a devoted wife, loving mother, an amazing cook and a lover of nature. Sue and Tal visited home often and we were all a tight family of many. There were a lot of family camping trips to North Carolina starting in a tent and graduating to a camper trailer. Ever adventurous after raising their children they traveled the US and Canada in their motor-home. Eventually they moved back to their home state of Alabama. In their 70’s they built a home on Lake Jordan. In her late 80’s Sue miraculously took care of the love of her life, Talmage at home who had Alzheimer’s until his death in 2012. In 2016 she moved to Fort Myers, Florida to live with her youngest daughter until her passing.
Sue is survived by her 3 children, 2 son-in-laws and 1 daughter-in-law whom she considered her children. Daughter Shelia (Wilton) Wade, Titus, AL, son Charles L. (Barbara) Kaylor, Green Cove Springs, FL and daughter Sharon (Dan) Fugatt, Fort Myers, FL. Three grandchildren, Scott (Kristen) Wade, Charles L. Kaylor Jr., Kelley Fugatt.
