In loving memory of
Teresa Grzymala
April 2, 1950 – April 10, 2024
Teresa Grzymala went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2024, in Venice, Florida, at the age of 74, surrounded by her husband and two loving children. She was born in New York City, NY on April 2, 1950, to parents Frank and Tess Taurisano.
Teresa attended the prestigious Katharine Gibbs secretarial school in New York City and went on to work as an executive secretary for General Electric. In 1990, Teresa and her family moved to Venice, Florida where she continued as an entrepreneur, co-owning and managing Ashley’s Limousines with her husband. After selling the limousine business, Teresa went on to work in the Publix bakery for almost 15 years where she made many close friendships.
In addition to spending time with her family, Teresa enjoyed playing cards, board games, and was an avid bingo player. She also enjoyed bowling and was in competitive leagues for many years. Teresa was also a heartfelt animal lover, raising numerous pets in her loving home over the years, and she always enjoyed family trips to the zoo. But her greatest passion was cooking, it brought her great delight to see her loved ones enjoy a home-cooked meal. She always said the most important ingredient was ‘love’.
Teresa is survived by her husband of 48 years, Leon Grzymala; her daughter, Traci Grzymala; her son, Gary Grzymala; and her brother, Rocco Taurisano.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a viewing in remembrance of Teresa Grzymala’s remarkable life at Baldwin Brother’s – 4609 Bee Ridge Road, Sarasota FL, on April 17th, 2024, from 1-3pm and 5-7pm.
