Obituary
Thomas J. Gregerson, 81 of Ocala, FL
Mr. Gregerson was the son of the founder of St. Louis County Cab, incorporated in 1935, and Tom was instrumental in its growth, becoming the largest taxi company in Missouri. Mr. Gregerson worked at the taxi company his whole adult life and was its president for several decades during the 1980’s through the early 2000’s. It was also under Tom’s leadership that Best Transportation, St. Louis’ most recognized premium and group transportation services company, was founded in 2002
Tom had a passion for horses all of his adult life which included allowing his daughters, Kim and Debbie, to show horses competitively during their younger years. For many decades after, he was one of the most respected Quarter Horse judges in the country, and is in the American Quarter Horse Association Hall of Fame. But his true calling and love was race horses. He loved Ocala FL, travelling back and forth frequently for decades, to be near and involved with his race horses. He had an amazing network of colleagues and friends in this Ocala community.
Tom is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary, and his daughters Kim and Debbie, as well as four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Per Tom’s wishes, he did not want any sort of formal funeral services. There will be a Celebration of Life with his friends and family in Ocala in the near future. Plans are still being developed. Arrangements are in the care of Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society of Timber Ridge, FL
