Obituary
Troy Julius Alexander (41), of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away surrounded by family on Feb. 13th , 2020.
Troy was born on May 9th 1978, in Geneva, Ohio to Jacklin Henning (Fl) and Thomas Alexander (Oh).
Troy graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School in 1997. He played football there all four years. He went on to work at VIP in New Smyrna detailing vehicles then transfered to the Daytona location. He then worked for S. Graham Enterprises resurfacing gym floors for schools in the central florida area- including Embry Riddle University in Daytona. He was also instrumental in the construction of the basketball/volleyball courts at DME in Daytona Beach.
Troy was always smiling, kind and helpful to anyone. He loved his daughter Avie more than anything and they shared many happy times together. Everyone he met was his friend and he was a loyal friend. He enjoyed the beach and was adventurous. He liked going back road driving with his brother Mark in Arkansas listening to his favorite rap or country music stations.
Troy is survived by his daughter Avianne Alexander (14) of South Daytona, Fl. Mother Jacklin Henning and Frank Dunham of Port Orange , Fl. Father Thomas Alexander of Footville, Ohio. Sister Melanie Bryans and Donnie of Port Orange, Fl. Brother Mark Alexander of Little Rock, Ark. Stepsister Rebecca Morgan from Tennessee. A niece Raynnah (10) and nephew Jonathan (19) both in Port Orange. Extended family Debbie and Rich Fromm and Jennifer Carder (Avies’ mom) of South Daytona, Fl. And a set of grandparents in Edgewater, Fla., and many aunts uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday March 8th from 1-4 at the Riverside Pavilion. 3431Ridgewood Ave. Port Orange, Fl. 32129
