Obituary
Troy D. Moody, age 70, passed away on May 14, 2022. He was born in Cooter, Missouri on November 16, 1951.
At the young age of 18, he joined the United States Army where he served in Vietnam from ’71-’72 in the 1st Cav division as a helicopter mechanic/door gunner. When he returned, he met the love of his life, Janet, with whom he would spend the next 49 years with. Once out of the military he joined the union, which ultimately lead him to his career as a railroad mechanic. After retirement, he settled in Florida with his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandsons where they enjoyed car shows, the local Porsche club, 24 hours of Daytona and driving his Porsche in the sunshine.
He is proceeded in death by his mother Annie Lou Quinn, sisters Brenda Jowers and Bonnie Hardin, brother Jerry Rimmer, sister-in-law Sylvia Triebsch and lifelong friend/chosen brother Mark Redman.
Troy is survived by his wife Janet Moody, daughter, Jennifer C (Dwain) Fryer, brother John (Carol) Rimmer, two Grandsons Troy “Alex” and Colton Fryer. sister-in-law Angela Griggs, brother-in-law Calley (Jutta) Triebsch and three yorkie companions, Gracie Jo, Sadie Jo, and Pheobe Jo. His beloved grand dog Luna “Lunie” Belle and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to ASPCA or Alzheimer’s Association Alz.org.
