Obituary
Throughout Troy’s life he was a loving Husband, Father, Sibling, Son, Uncle, Cousin, Coworker and Friend. He was a devoted and faithful child of God who loved serving at Church throughout his life. He trusted in the Lord and always believed God would take care of him. Born in Indiana on March 8th, 1963, he resided in Florida in the last years of his life. Troy passed peacefully, surrounded by family on October 20th, 2020. His marriage to Kimberly, the Love of his Life as he always said, was 36 years strong. He raised two wonderful sons into two strong young men, Ethan Layne and Garrett Alexander. He was so proud of the men he guided and raised, two of his biggest accomplishments. Troy was a strong head of household who always provided for his family. He was a hard working tradesman, working as an equipment operator, pipe fitter, shop foremen, and Collection and Distribution Technician with the City of North Port. He cherished the strong friendships and connections he made over the years through his various careers, church families and journey of life…he made an impact on everyone he met. Troy always looked forward to family time on Sunday, gathering to cook, laugh, root for the Colts and spend quality time together with the people he loved. He enjoyed digging in the garden, growing his own fruits, vegetables and flowers, tending to his yard and his home. He took pride in being an avid tinkerer and mender of broken things. He leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten, he will be truly missed by all.
My thoughts and prayers go to Kim, her children, and their family during this painful time.
