Virginia H. (Ginny) Novak 86, of Longwood, Florida , formerly of Avon Lake, Ohio and Elmhurst, Illinois, passed away peacefully, on March 28, 2014. Virginia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, an accomplished writer, golfer, and hostess. She loved books, travel, music and art. She was a generous sister and a gracious friend who left a mark on all who knew her. Her special creativity manifested itself in everything she did, from entertaining to decorating to writing and producing plays. Virginia is survived by three daughters: Lisa Novak Blakeslee (Robert) of Oviedo, FL , Kathryn Novak Curtin (Lawrence) of Rolling Meadows, IL, and Jamie Novak Hetherington (William), of Boerne TX; five grandchildren: Amelia Hetherington, Kathryn Hetherington, William Hetherington, Emma Blakeslee and Sam Blakeslee; three sisters and one brother: Diane Hammond, Pat Groen, Joan Conner, Holly Hammond, and James Hammond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. (Bob) Novak, the love of her life. A private service was held on March 30.
