William B. Croft, Jr. (July 25, 1940 – April 4, 2020), age 79 years
William B. Croft, Jr. died on April 4, 2020 at Hope Hospice in Cape Coral, Florida after suffering a major stroke.
Bill will be deeply missed by his wife Judy; sons William (Kathleen) Croft, Michael (Michelle) Croft; grandchildren Katlin (Bradley) Croft Lubeck, Jessica Croft, Alec Croft, Abigail (Matthew) Felten, David Croft; great-grandsons James Felten, Holden & Ezra Lubeck; and many wonderful friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William & Taimi Croft; sister, Adele Croft; and wife, Susan Croft.
Sweet Old Bill (SOB), as his friends knew him, was born in Maynard, Massachusetts on July 25, 1940. He graduated from Maynard High School and served in the US Navy from 1959-1963 as a Radar Technician. He married Susan Carenen in 1960 and moved to Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He owned Rite Type Equipment Company and was a member of North Hills Country Club, where he hit four of his six holes in one.
Bill and Judy were married in 1999 in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin, and after retiring, moved to North Fort Myers, Florida, where they truly enjoyed a life full of golf, friends and sunshine at Magnolia Landing.
In celebration of Bill’s life, listen to a little Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash while raising a gimlet in honor of a life well lived. Group celebration details will be announced at a later date.
