Obituary

William (Bill) Abraham, died peacefully April 14, 2024 at Cornerstone Hospice in The Villages, FL after a brief but valiant fight with pancreatic cancer.  Bill and his wife of almost 64 years, Judy, lived in The Villages for 19 years enjoying the Florida sun, being close to family and playing golf.  Bill and Judy enjoyed travelling to Buffalo, Columbus OH and several trips to Europe.  He did not miss shoveling Buffalo snow, but was an avid fan of the Buffalo Bills and Clemson Tigers!  He enjoyed keeping his engineering mind sharp right up until the end, working at Safe Ship designing and packing boxes to be shipped out.
Bill was born in 1939 and grew up in Orchard Park NY and credits the foundation of his career to his education at Alfred Technical College and continued his education at SUNY Buffalo.  Bill had a distinguished career as an engineer with multiple patents and had a 20 year career at Niagara Machine and Tool Works in Buffalo, NY.  His expertise in the machine tool industry enabled him to be an expert witness in product liability matters.  Bill was an active and Life member of the Bowmansville Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years and was instrumental in the growth of the first aid squad and ambulance service.  Bill was a proud member of the Lancaster Depew Rotary Club.  Bill and Judy are proud parents of William (Bud) Abraham and Lisa (Lucus) Brown.  Grandfather of Alexander (Cara) Brown and Erica (Doug) Stieby.  His great granddaughter Coseglia Brown put a twinkle in his eye.
The family asks that any donations be made to Pelotonia, a cancer research foundation in Columbus OH.  They can be made in Bill’s memory via https://www.pelotonia.org/profile/BA0010

I really enjoyed knowing Bill. I spent a lot of time playing golf all around central Florida with just Bill and Neale. Bill was a quiet and humble man and a pleasure to be with. I’ll really miss him. My prayers for the Family.

We shall remember our times playing golf with Bill, going out for lunch afterwards and all of our good times with the Clemson Club. Bill was a good man who will be missed.

There are no words to express what a really great guy Bill Abraham was. He and Judy were our very first neighbors we met when the four of us moved into The Villages, Florida at the same time. It has been a 19 year friendship that continues for Judy as everyone praises everything about Bill. I was proud to have know him. He would do anything for anyone, often helping me with projects. He worked at Safe Ship not because he had to but because he wanted to. He held that job for over 12 years helping us out with packing and making the perfect size box for a customer. We will never be able to replace Bill. Yes, someone will fill that position but to be as reliable as Bill with his work ethics to always show up, never late, never missing work is something not very many people would do. We loved you Bill and we all at Safe Ship will miss you forever. The friendship we have always had with Judy and Bill will also continue forever. Rest in peace my dear, dear friend.
