Obituary
William “Bill” Iwanicki Jr., 76, of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully Thursday, May 9, 2019, in the loving presence of his sons Todd and Jeff. Born on February 1, 1943 in Warren, Ohio to Jennie and William Iwanicki, Bill attended St. Mary’s High School where he met his future wife Karen Regnery. He graduated from Youngstown University with a degree in business. Bill enjoyed a decades-long career at General Motors where he also developed a passion for cars. He and Karen were married in 1965 and made their family home in Warren where they raised their two sons Todd and Jeff. Bill was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. He was a kind, generous, humble man with a sentimental heart. Bill loved spending time with family, watching and playing sports with his sons, and making an annual family trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He and Karen enjoyed their retirement in Florida, travel, visits in the Colorado mountains with son Jeff, and trips to Atlanta to see son Todd and his family. Bill’s family is comforted in knowing that he has been reunited with his beloved wife Karen who passed away in February of 2018. Bill is survived by son Todd (Susan); son Jeff; grandchildren, Evelyn and Wilson; sister Linda Nolan; many nieces and nephews and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Services will be held at 11:30 am on June 22 at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland Ohio with a reception to follow at Cafe 422 in Warren.
