Obituary

Wilma (Billie) C. Huddleston passed away Nov. 16, 2017 in The Villages, Fl.  Upon her passing she was surrounded by family and went peacefully to be with our Lord.  She was born Aug. 11, 1925 in Staten Island, NY to William and Helen Simonson.  She grew up there and married Sam L. Huddleston of Arkansas in 1948.  They lived in Pennsylvania for 2 years and then moved to Texas to live from 1951-1974.  They spent 1 year in Scotland while Sam worked on the platform in the North Sea.  From there they transferred to Alaska in 1975 to continue working on Oil Platforms.  Sam died in Oct. of 2010 and Wilma stayed in Alaska for 4 more years before moving to Florida in 2014 to be near her brother Rick Simonson and his wife Sandy as well as her daughter Priscilla who moved there to be near her.  Our Mom loves Alaska and made many friends there.  She was an artist and loved to paint the majestic mountains and beautiful scenery that Alaska has to offer.  She is survived by her 3 children; Les Huddleston (Texas), Rick Huddleston (Alaska) and Priscilla Pope (Florida); 6 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed but we know she is very happy being with Our Lord and being reunited with her husband Sam of 62 years.  God bless you Mom and we will see you again someday.  A celebration of life will be held at Lake Miona Recreation Center, 1526 Buena Vista Blvd, The Villages, FL on Sat., Nov. 25, 2017 at 4 PM.
