Obituary
Yvonne Marie Dove, 64, of Daytona Beach, Florida passed away on September 19th, 2016 at The Sarah House IV in Ormond Beach, Florida after a 6 year battle with early onset dementia. Yvonne was born on December 19th, 1951 in Panama City, Florida when her father was stationed at Tyndall AFB. The family eventually settled in Bowie, Maryland. She then began her career with the US Capitol Police force in Washington, DC. After 32 years on the force, she retired and moved to Ormond Beach to be near her family. She is survived by her mother, Mary Carolyn Dove; her sisters, Cheryl Polen (Bill); Lynda Watson and Carol Craig (Kevin) and her baby brother, Mike Dove, all of the Daytona Beach/Ormond area. While Yvonne did not have any children of her own, she cherished her nieces, Anastasia Brogan (Kellen) and Lauren Dove and her nephews, Devon Craig and Mckenzie Watson. She was also a Great Aunt to Stella Brogan and soon to be Great Aunt to twins Mason and Addison Brogan. Yvonne was preceded in death by her beloved father, Leo B. Dove, in 1997. The family thanks all of the caregivers that helped Yvonne and the family thru this long difficult journey. They include the wonderful aides from Quality Professionals of South Daytona and Concierge Care of Ormond Beach. Most importantly, everyone associated with The Sarah House IV, for the kindness and care she received the last year and a half and everyone associated with Halifax Health Hospice that helped Yvonne in the last moments of her life. Per her wishes, Yvonne will be cremated and her ashes scattered over the Atlantic Ocean. A private service will be held by her family.
