Obituary
Dennis Lee Fischer, a devoted husband, beloved brother, cherished father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away suddenly and peacefully on February 21, 2025 at the age of 78.
A proud alumnus of Florida State University, Dennis was a lifelong Seminoles fan and passionate supporter of his alma mater. He served his country with honor as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, earning the Bronze Star Medal for his bravery and dedication.
Following his military service, Dennis dedicated 32 years to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, where his leadership, integrity, and commitment to justice made a lasting impact on his colleagues and community.
He had a great love for History and reading. He enjoyed watching his St. Louis Cardinals and FSU Seminoles. He always looked forward to his Wednesday breakfasts with “his brothers” and Saturdays on the porch with Andrea (his buddy and right-hand man).
Above all, Dennis was a faithful servant of Christ, living his life with love, kindness, and unwavering faith. He was a pillar of strength for his family and an inspiration to all who knew him.
Details regarding the memorial service will be shared with family and friends.
Rest in peace, Dennis. Your love, courage, and legacy will live on in our hearts forever. Go Noles!
