Aubrey Wayne Lawrence, 73, of Fort Myers, FL, passed into life with Christ on June 14, 2025. He was born on December 5, 1951, in Salem, New Jersey, to parents Frank and Dolly Lawrence. He met the love of his life, Donna in high school where they grew up in Pennsville, New Jersey. They had two sons, John and Michael. In 1977, Wayne joined the Army and the family moved to El Paso, Texas. Wayne served 8 years in the Army. After leaving the service and settling in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, Wayne’s love of technology shaped his career in computers as a project manager where he taught himself how to write programs. Most recently he loved his career in customer service at the airport where he enjoyed conversations with travelers.
In 2017, Wayne and Donna moved to Florida to enjoy the warm climate and beaches. He especially loved spending time with family and was the Grill-Master at many gatherings. Wayne was full of life and energy. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He cherished his time with family and friends, often talking about church home groups he enjoyed over the years. He enjoyed staying active in both mind and body, a wealth of knowledge and a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. Wayne loved fishing, boating, and target shooting.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 53 years, Donna Lawrence of Fort Myers, FL; Son John (Julie) Lawrence of Fort Myers, FL; Son Michael (Candice) Lawrence of Bethlehem, PA; Grandchildren: Bryson, Seth, Logan, Colin, Kylie, and Kensleigh; Niece Crystal Parks of Pennsville, NJ.
