Obituary

Kathy Kilpatrick Senter Chapman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2025, in Cape Coral, Florida, at the age of 76. Born on December 13, 1948 in Fulton, Mississippi, she was the daughter of Alfred “A.P.” Senter and Dorothy “Dottie” Kilpatrick Senter. She attended Itawamba Junior College in Fulton, MS and the University of Mississippi in Oxford, affectionately known as “Ole Miss”. It was during her college years that she met her husband, Thomas Howard Chapman, to whom she was married for 57 years.

Kathy loved her family and friends deeply, she was a Christian, an animal lover, held a deep appreciation for music and interior design and was an avid shopper. She was full of sass and her zest for life will be remembered by all who knew her.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Tom Chapman, her daughter, Kristen Kilpatrick Chapman-Peters, her son-in-law Tommy Peters, and her grandchildren James Wood, Nathan Wood, Thomas Peters and Kelly Peters.

She is also survived by her siblings, Sandy Gafford of Oxford, MS, Wesley Senter of Granbury, TX, Al Shane Senter of Houston, TX and many treasured nieces and nephews, family and friends.

Her parents, her daughter, Karri Elizabeth Chapman and her brother Patrick Senter, preceded her in death. She will be laid to rest alongside her daughter, Karri Elizabeth Chapman in Fulton, Mississippi at a later date this year.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope Hospice in her memory.

I can't believe this is real. I know she would have delighted in how often Carrie & I would tell stories about her when trying to describe Southern people, only because she was so fun.... Lord knows there's never been another like her! ❤️ You are missed ma'am....
