Obituary

Barbara Lillian Richardson, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her death. Constant devotion to God and family, and a true desire to walk out the Great Commission of Christ her Lord were the hallmarks of a life well-lived, and she will be sorely missed.

She was born in Palermo New York on April 10, 1941 to Thurman and Mary Bartlett. She was a loving and devoted wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Her early years were formative as she grew up on the family farm in upstate New York. Much of who she was later in life came from those roots that connected her to a love of nature as God’s creation, and a respect for hard-work and the importance of family. She never forgot those basic tenants of life and they served her well as she raised her family and fulfilled God’s calling. She loved to teach God’s word and while she truly excelled in that endeavor, her greatest gifting was as an encourager, mentor, and friend to countless people in times of need.

She is survived by her husband Jack, her children Robin, and Jack, six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, and she is now reunited with her daughter Jacalyn who preceded her into the arms of Jesus at the age of 10.

A public celebration of her life will be held at Community Church in Casselberry Florida where she served and was a member for 53 years. Services in her honor will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 11:00 AM. The Church is located at 4921 S. U.S. Hwy. 17/92, Casselberry, Florida 32707.
