Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christopher James Mazol, age 53, who went home to be with Jesus on September 6, 2025, after a courageous 14-month battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family at home in Ponce Inlet, Florida.
Born on September 27, 1971, in Queens, New York, Chris moved to Florida at a young age, where he grew up and made a life for himself. After graduation, he began working in the carpet cleaning business, a field in which he poured his heart and soul. Over the years, he not only built a successful business but also a strong network of friends—many of whom he considered family.
In his personal life, he was lucky enough to meet the love of his life, Michelle. Together, they built a beautiful life full of laughter, hard work, and unconditional love. Just this past year, they celebrated 30 years of marriage—a milestone that spoke to the deep bond and devotion they shared every single day. Anyone who saw Chris and Michelle together knew they were truly soulmates. Their greatest pride and joy is their son, Brandon, who Chris lovingly mentored in both life and business. Passing on his knowledge and work ethic to his son was one of his proudest achievements.
Chris had a deep, unshakable faith in God, which anchored him throughout his life. His love for his wife and son was boundless, and he always placed them above all else. His family was his world.
In addition to his devotion to family, Chris was passionate about surfing, a hobby that brought him peace and joy. Chris always felt at home riding the waves. This love for the ocean led him and Michelle to their dream home in Ponce Inlet, where they could be closer to the water that brought him so much joy.
Although Chris was a quiet and humble man who often kept to himself, he will be remembered for his exceptional work ethic, kind soul, and the genuine care he showed for others. His generosity and thoughtfulness made everyone feel welcome and at home in his presence.
Chris is survived by his loving wife, Michelle, his devoted son, Brandon, his in-laws, Bob & Pat Earle, brother Michael Mazol, Aunt Donna Nordstrom, along with a myriad of immediate and extended family and close friends. Preceded by death his grandparents Harry and Marie Mazol and his Uncle Greg Mazol.
A celebration of life service will be held on October 6th at Annunciation Catholic Church 1020 Montgomery Rd. Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend. Flowers can be sent to: 4845 S. Peninsula Dr. Ponce Inlet, FL 32127. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris’s name to: Vitas Healthcare 2381 Mason Avenue, Daytona Beach, Fl 32117 Suite 100.
Chris’s legacy will live on through his family, his friends, and all whose lives he touched with his love, compassion, and dedication.
Doing what Chris loved to do! You will always be in our hearts❤️
