Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Isaac Vialpando, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on August 20, 1944, in Pueblo, Colorado, Thomas lived a life full of love, adventure, and cherished moments that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Thomas was the proud son of Ramona Marine and Martin Vialpando, who preceded him in death, along with his brothers, John and Walter Vialpando. He is survived by his son, Berdell Vialpando, and his daughters, Cheri Vialpando, Dela Vialpando, and Kristine Chesser. He also leaves behind a loving son-in-law, Jason Chesser, and two grandchildren, Allison Grace Chesser and Jordan Thomas Chesser, whose lives he touched immeasurably. An honorable Air Force veteran, Thomas served his country with pride and dignity. After being honorably discharged, he returned to civilian life, where he dedicated himself to his family and the pursuit of his passions. His love of fishing in the serene lakes of Colorado and camping under the vast starry skies were just a few of the activities that brought him joy.

Thomas was also an avid Disney enthusiast, often sharing magical moments and memories with his daughters and grandchildren, creating a legacy of love and happiness that will be remembered for generations. Those who knew Thomas understood that family was the cornerstone of his life. He cherished every moment spent with his children and grandchildren, often teaching them the values of kindness, perseverance, and the beauty of nature. His laughter was infectious, and his spirit was a guiding light that drew people towards him. As we gather to celebrate the life of Thomas Isaac Vialpando, we remember a man whose love knew no bounds—a father, a grandfather, and a friend. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A private funeral service will be held to honor Thomas’s life, as per his wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to DAV that helps with Disables Veterans of America in his memory, as a testament to his generous spirit and love for those in need.

Rest peacefully, dear Thomas. Your legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will forever be cherished.
