Obituary

Robert (Doc) Craig Albers was born on November 9th, 1944, in Cleveland, Ohio, and passed away in his home on September 12th, 2025 in Venice, Florida, after a courageous battle with ALS. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Albers, who he was married to for 20 wonderful years, his five children Rob, his wife Suzanne, Craig, his wife Adriana, Beth, Tom, his wife Lindsay, Tony, and his wife Amy. As well as his eight grandchildren who he loved dearly: Sage, Jack, Jamie, Sabrina, Laney, Lexi, Bailey, and Timothy.
The first thing he would say to anyone he met for the first time was, “Call me Doc.” He was a car guy through and through. He belonged to three car clubs; two in Florida and one in St. Louis.
His 1972 Oldsmobile Gold Cutlass convertible was his pride and joy, and he was happy to attend any meetings to talk about cars and car parts with the guys.
When someone asked if they could do anything for him, he would only say, “I’d like you to pray for me.”  We know Doc is in heaven, and the first thing he will say when he meets Jesus is, “Call me Doc.”
