Obituary

Memorial to be held in Eagle, Colorado – Date TBD

Helen was devoted to God, her family and loved everyone as she loved herself.  She was a free spirit and a friend to everyone she met.

Helen was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to Viola Carbone and Michael Thomas.  She married Harry Stewart Gross in 1962 and welcomed two beautiful children, Karen Nanette and Brent Stewart.

Helen’s career began as a Data Analyst for the City of Miami and later at Florida Federal Credit Union in Palm Beach, Florida. She moved to Cape Coral in 2016 to be near her grandchildren and her daughter-in-law Carrie Cremia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her Brother, Anthony Ralph (Cynthia) Damiano Jr.; her children Karen Tejeda and Brent Gross; her grandchildren Dylan Ramsey, Dominick Tejeda, Jessica Carbone and Tyler Carbone; nephew Joey Damiano; and many cousins and beloved family throughout Florida and New Jersey.

Helen will be missed by her family, friends and everyone that met her in passing because of her wit and charm.  She now rests in God’s arms and forever in our hearts.

Tia, I remember when we solved 2000-piece puzzles to find that a piece had gone missing. Our family will always miss you, and we'll remember the laughs and experiences we shared in our time together. You were a wonderful grandmother, mother, and friend who brought joy to those who needed it most. I'll always hold the moments we shared as a family close to my heart, and I wish for you the greatest as you move forward. You will always be loved and remembered dearly. With love, your grandson.
