Obituary

Catherine “Cathy” H. (Johnson) Dimick, 74, of Merrimack, NH, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Community Hospice House.
Born on February 20, 1951, in Troy, New York, Cathy was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Helen Johnson. She grew up in upstate New York alongside her sister Patricia “Patsy” Parzyck and brother Edward T. Johnson. Cathy studied at SUNY Buffalo and later married the love of her life, Michael “Mike” Dimick, on September 6, 1980, at Siena College Chapel in Loudonville, NY.

Cathy dedicated her career to food service, working for various corporations and ultimately serving as Food Service Director for the Merrimack School District. Merrimack became her cherished home for 42 years, where she raised her family and built lifelong friendships.

After retiring, Cathy moved to Kissimmee, Florida, where she continued to share her generous spirit—volunteering with the Solivata Performing Arts Council (S.P.A.C) at Solivita and always offering a helping hand to anyone in need. She also gave her time to the Girl Scouts, St. Rosa of Lima Food Pantry, and the local S.P.C.A., contributing over a decade of service to her community.
Cathy is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Dimick; her daughters Kathleen (William) Chenoweth, Marie (James) Papineau, and Susan Repoza; and her beloved grandchildren Mikayla, Shelby, Miranda, Kayleigh, and Evelyn. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Parzyck, brother Ed (Teri) Johnson, and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends.
Cathy’s greatest joy was her family. She found peace in reading, music, and playing cards with friends. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration Mass will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 9:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cathy’s honor to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road, Merrimack, NH 03054.
