Obituary

Doris Jean Timmons, age 94, of Casselberry, Florida, went home to be with Jesus on September 23, 2025, where she joins all the loved ones who preceded her in death including her husband, siblings, and great-grandson Paxton.

Born on May 6, 1931, to Ezra and Arloa Neuroth, Doris had an older brother, Harry, and she was also blessed with an identical twin sister, Dorothy, with whom  she shared a unique bond that she treasured throughout her life.
Doris was the beloved wife of the late Reverend James Timmons, faithfully supporting him in ministry as a devoted preacher’s wife. She was the cherished mother of three children; Gregory (Karen) Timmons, Barbara (Eric) Twachtman, and Scott (Elizabeth) Timmons; proud grandmother of Elizabeth Twachtman, Jeremy (Caroline) Twachtman, Chelsie (Layne) Schroeder, Ryan (Hannah) Timmons, Haley Timmons, Katherine (Aaron) Smith, and Matthew Timmons; and a loving great grandmother of Caden, Knox, Griffin & Olivia (Schroeder), Lucy & Harrison (Twachtman), Quinnley & Maverick (Timmons.)
For 37 years, she touched countless lives as a dedicated elementary school teacher, shaping the minds and hearts of her students with patience, wisdom, and love. She will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who will cherish her memory and the lessons she so graciously imparted.
A celebration of life for her Florida friends and family will be held at 2:00 pm on October 18th at Sanlando United Methodist Church located at 1890 W. State Road 434, Longwood Florida.
A burial service for the family will take place at 9:00 am on November 8, 2025 at Toledo Memorial Park & Mausoleum located at 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio.
A second service will be held in Michigan for friends and family at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Ogden Church, located at 3201 US 223 Adrian, Michigan.
