Obituary
In Loving Memory of Gregg Paul Vosler | July 4, 1947 – October 22, 2025
Gregg Paul Vosler, 78, of Tavares, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on October 22, 2025. Born on Independence Day, July 4, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gregg lived a life marked by faith, service, laughter, and love.
A proud United States Marine, Gregg honorably served his country during the Vietnam War. His discipline, courage, and compassion continued to guide him throughout his life long after his time in uniform.
Following his military service, Gregg dedicated many years to the medical field, where he owned and operated several successful weight loss clinics. He later found great purpose in teaching balance and senior wellness programs– helping others live stronger, fuller lives. After decades of hard work, Gregg enjoyed a well-earned retirement filled with the things he loved most.
Gregg had a zest for life. He was happiest with his hands in the garden, working out, visiting the beach and local art shows with wife Rebecca, and listening to Gospel music. His faith was the cornerstone of his life. During his years at First Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, Gregg served in Celebrate Recovery, ministered to adults with special needs through music, and sang in the church choir. In recent years, he worshiped with his church family at East Coast Believers Church (ECBC) in Mount Dora.
Those who knew Gregg will remember his big heart, playful sense of humor, and his gift for making others feel valued. He loved deeply, lived passionately, and laughed often.
Gregg is survived by his devoted wife, Rebecca Vosler, and by his children: Bryan Vosler, Heidi Hunter (Jerry), Scott Vosler (Jolene Zimmerman), Jason Vosler, and Shea Vosler (Jessica). He is also lovingly remembered by his stepdaughters, Mia Tompkins (John), Megan Huckabee (Greg), and Dana Hearn (Brian). He was the proud grandfather and “GG” of 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and is also survived by his sister, Judy Vosler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alden and Louise Vosler, and his siblings Richard Vosler, Penny Cameron, Tom Vosler, and Jim Vosler.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 30th at 3:00p at One Fire Church (110 S Bay Street, Eustis, FL 23726), where family and friends will gather to honor Gregg’s vivacious life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gregg’s memory may be made to Celebrate Recovery or the Wounded Warrior Project– causes close to his heart:
