Obituary
Patricia Jane Manzano (Palivec), age 76, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, in Fort Myers, Florida.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Richard and Shirley Palivec of Dayton, Ohio. She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever carry her spirit with them.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jose Manzano; her daughter, Christine Coates; Christine’s husband, George Coates; and her cherished grandsons, George and Miguel Coates, who brought her endless pride and joy. She is also survived by her brother, Rick Palivec, his wife Denise, and their children Nic, Austin, Kevin, and Amber, all of whom she loved dearly.
Patricia retired after a lifetime of dedicated service at Dorothy Lane Market, where her strong work ethic and commitment to others were evident to all who knew her. Family was always at the center of her life, and she was deeply passionate about social causes and standing up for what she believed in. She was an avid sports fan who loved football and, in her later years, developed a fondness for soccer.
Her faith was an important part of her life. She was a past member of St. Brigid Parish in Xenia, Ohio, Our Lady Queen of Heaven in LaBelle, Florida, and was a devoted parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul in Fort Myers, where she found comfort and community.
Patricia was an intensely passionate woman, known not only for her convictions but for the unmistakable look she gave when she wanted you to know exactly how she felt—no words required. That look, along with her fierce love, honesty, and loyalty, will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
A small private service will be held on December 22 at 1:00 p.m. at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society in Fort Myers.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend whose presence left a lasting impression on every life she touched.
