Obituary
Larry R. Campbell, age 85, of Zellwood Florida, formerly of Midland Michigan went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 26, 2025. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and was remembered with a full military honors service at the VA Community Care Hospital . Larry was born to Lela Neal and Sydney Campbell on December 7, 1940. He was married to the love of his life, Linda L. Methner on March 7, 1964, who went to spend eternity in Heaven on December 10, 2022. Larry served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Rockbridge as a Boatswain’s Mate from July 1959 through July 1965 and went on to a career in the printing industry, first as a press operator and eventually to owning and operating Campbell Printing in Clare Michigan. Throughout the years Larry enjoyed golfing, baseball, table tennis, playing his violin, and spending time around the water. But his passion was his family and he was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was always eager to spread the good news of Jesus teaching Sunday School, preaching the word, and witnessing to anyone he came in contact with about the hope that can be found in a personal relationship with Jesus. He loved helping others and did so often using the handyman skills he had learned over the years. He was active and driven, full of life, always had a sense of humor, and quick to share his opinion, whether you were ready for it or not (wink wink). He will be greatly missed and remembered as a true friend and mentor to so many.
The couple is survived by three children, a son Lonnie of Thompson MI, two daughters, Lori Richardson (Rich) of Southport NC, Lisha Ellison (Steve) of Sterling MI; grandchildren Garin, Shaylyn, Dustin, Brittany, Cody, Joanna, Curtis, Bryce, Lacey, Briona, Trevor; great grandchildren, Mykenna, Pyper, Oaklee, Natalie, Augustus, Owen, Lincoln, and Evelyn. Larry was the youngest of 10 siblings, all of whom passed before him.
A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date.
