Obituary
William Dale Leaman, age 86, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 7, 2026. Born on November 20, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bill lived a life defined by faith, service, and deep devotion to his family.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army Reserve and went on to build a long and successful career as Parts and Service Manager for McCafferty Ford. He was widely respected for his integrity, leadership, and strong work ethic.A man of unwavering and profound religious faith, Bill devoted countless hours to his church and lived each day guided by Christian values. As a proud Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, he exemplified the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism in all that he did.Bill had a love for the outdoors and cherished time spent with family and friends. He enjoyed RVing and boating, often fishing and relaxing on the beach. These moments with loved ones were some of the highlights of his life, creating memories that will be treasured forever.Above all else, Bill was a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. He was truly a wonderful person and will be remembered as the best husband and father—kind, patient, and always putting others before himself.He is survived by his beloved wife, Dianna Leaman; his children, Jody Delia; William Leaman Jr. (Donna); Douglas Leaman; Lisa Maurer (Ernie); and Matthew Leaman (Denise); as well as 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews who were a great source of pride and joy in his life.
Bill is also survived by his sister Linda Hermansen (Gerald) and was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Lester Leaman and Marie Leaman; his siblings, Douglass Leaman, Nancy Leaman, and Robert Leaman; and his daughter-in-law, Aliceanne Leaman.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Barnabas by-the-Bay, 13 West Bates Avenue, Villas, NJ 08251, on Friday, January 23rd at 10:00 a.m.
For those who reside in Florida, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.Bill’s legacy of faith, love, and quiet strength will live on through his family and all who were blessed to know him.
