James Danin, also known as Nana Yaw Danin, was born on October 26,1956 in Brawka, Central Region, Ghana.
The only child of Rosina Aseiduaa Danin and Donkor Danin, James came to the United States in 1984. Extremely intelligent and hard-working, James earned a Bachelors of Arts in Marketing from Pace University in 1991 and a Bachelors of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences from St. John's University in 1996.
In 1999, James moved from New York to Florida to pursue full-time employment as a Pharmacist. He worked at Orlando Regional hospital and then moved on to a position at Florida hospital. Though his occupation often required long hours, he loved his job. He loved helping people and making a difference in people's lives.
Funny, quick-witted, and generous James was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. He was loved by his family, his friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of truly knowing him. If you met James today, you would probably be his lifelong friend. You would remember his kindness, his sense of humor, and his impeccable sense of style. Anyone who knows James, knows he was a sharp dresser and always looked his best.
A loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, James is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Mercy Afari Danin, his four children Asantewaa Danin, Wendy Aseiduaa Danin, Tiffany Obenewah Danin, and James Danin Junior as well as his grandchildren, Randolph Johnson III and Hiro King-Sean Johnson.
We, his family, were blessed to have had him for as long as we did, even though it was for such a short time.
We love him dearly and know his soul now rests peacefully in the arms of our Lord. We miss him terribly, and will never forget him.
We will continue to carry him our hearts for the rest of our lives.
Love you brother.
