Obituary
Clayton Edward Rash, Jr., 74 of Port Orange, FL passed away March 14, 2018. He was born in Providence, RI on April 7, 1943. During his youth he enjoyed sailing and was an Eagle Scout at the Narragansett Council of the Boys Scouts of America. He graduated in 1965 from the Pennsylvania Military College and then entered the Army Officer Flight Program. He served multiple tours as a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War and retired from the United States Army as a Major after twenty years of service. He moved to Port Orange, FL in 1985 and during his civilian career he worked at GE Aerospace, Martin Marietta, Lockheed Martin, and Raydon Corporation. He enjoyed playing golf and was a past President of Indigo Lakes MGA. He was also a Life Member of VFW 3282. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 52 years; children Christa (Mark) Scogna of San Antonio, TX, and Clayton (Cathy) Rash of Sanford, FL; and four grandchildren, Mitchell, Matthew, Davis and Bennett. He will truly be missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are asked to be made in his honor to your favorite charitable organization. Services will be at 11:00AM Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Baldwin Brothers Port Orange Chapel Dunlawton Avenue.
