Obituary
Leanne Pearce Millar, 64, joined the heavenly choir on January 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family, after a valiant battle with cancer. Known for her unique sense of humor and contagious laughter, Leanne had an abundance of wonderful, supportive friends, many dating back to early childhood. She lived near Clermont for more than a decade, where she enjoyed her horses and cherished new friends, especially members of Ferndale Baptist Church, where she was actively involved in choir and Sunday School activities. Leanne enjoyed spending time at the family cabin outside Waynesville, NC, where she took great pleasure in having dinner and card games with family and friends, along with plenty of deck time and reading.
Leanne is survived by her three brothers, David (Mary), Jeff (Kathy), and Doug (Mary), as well as 7 nieces and 13 grandnieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Beyer and Edwina Pearce, and her only child, Samuel James Millar.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
