Obituary
Ronald Baldwin, 78, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, peacefully passed away on Monday, July 5, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Los Angeles, California, to the late Patricia and Ernest Baldwin. He is survived by his partner Carolyn Morgan; his five children Laurie Dorr (Jergen), Kathleen Sarna (Robert), Elizabeth Rogers (Kent), Tracy Himes (David), and Kelly Michael Baldwin; his brother Stephen Baldwin; his sister Mary Ann Englehart; his 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild; former spouse Claudia Baldwin; and family member Kirstin Appelt (David Hardisty). Ron was a pilot in the United States Air Force for 21 years, flying missions around the globe in C-141 Starlifters and later domestically in T-39 transports. After his military service he was employed by Lockheed Martin in Colorado. A life-long Disney fan, he enjoyed working for “the Mouse” for several years after retirement. Ron’s passion was travel, first RVing the United States and Canada and later taking tours as often as possible to the far corners of the world.
Ron will be interred in the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims, Florida, at a time to be determined by the family.
In lieu of flowers and in recognition of Ron’s love for his pet family, donations may be made in his name to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society of New Smyrna Beach.
We were so very saddened to hear of Ron"s passing.
He, was the true example of a Gentleman, he will be very much missed.
