Obituary

Donna Ruth Casasanta, 82, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at home surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in Baisden, WV on September 17, 1941. She was an author, business owner, entrepreneur, entertainer, seamstress, and homemaker. She was a media member of Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, LA for many years. She enjoyed gardening, making people laugh, and living life to the fullest.

Donna was a prayer warrior. She prayed for those that asked for prayer and those that didn’t. Her children, grandchildren, family, neighbors, our nation leaders and the people of this nation. It will take all of us to fill her shoes.

Surviving are her brothers, Clyde Allen and Jerry (Linda) Allen of Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Her children, daughter, Debra Brooks (Steve) of Edgewater, FL daughter, Cheryl Clouse of Phenix City, AL, daughter, Tess Welch (Melvin) of Elk Garden, WV, daughter, Donna Kay May of Rocky Mount, VA, and son, Venanzio Christopher Casasanta (Melissa) of Daytona Beach, FL, granddaughter, Holly Marie Miller (Troy) of Cushing, OK, granddaughter, Breann Martin of Phenix City, AL, grandson, Joseph Linn (Jenn) of Ocala, FL, grandson, Jonathan May-Infante (Joseph) of Meadville, PA, granddaughter Deanna Baker of Phenix City, AL, granddaughter, Karessa Martin (Antione) of Dacula, GA, grandson, Joseph May of Lake City, FL, grandson, Patrick May of Meadville, PA, granddaughter, Brittney May (Randall Moseley) of Lake City, FL, grandson, Noah Casasanta of Daytona Beach, FL, grandson Jacob Linn (Skyler Brooks) of Rustburg, VA and Jacob Casasanta of Daytona Beach, FL. Donna has 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren with two still in the oven. Momma always was a baker and so are her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Edna Allen (Kilgore), husband, Harold Dean Clouse, husband Venanzio George Casasanta, and son, Harold Dean Clouse, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Tina Gail Clouse (Linn). Donna was the 7th child out of 14 children born to her birth mother, Mildred Marie Allen. She is preceded in death by her birth mother and 11 siblings.

Memorial Service is 1:00 PM Friday, November 3rd at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 1 N. Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL. Chaplin Dave Whitman will be officiating. Future urn interment at Sea Pines memorial gardens in Edgewater, FL to be announced later.

    Ms. Donna was an amazing lady who shed her light and strength on all of us. Her strength , integrity and force to change lives will never be forgotten! Thank you , Ms. Donna for helping me raise my children while I managed my company. Ms. Donna lived with us and helped keep the seas calm in my absence . What an amazing lady full of love and grace. May God bless you for everything you did for me and my family and many others. Rest in peace my beautiful friend. Until we meet again.
