Barbara and family, I just learned of Jack’s passing. I still picture him as a handsome, kind man with soulful eyes. I first met him when I was employed as a department secretary in the Science and Health Department at CLC where he was a professor, and he was such a joy to be around. I will never forget the Spring Break to Spain, along with you, Jack and my best friend Bev Hubbard. Good times, so very long ago. Sending you love and condolences on his passing.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Jack Cote. While I do not know the family, I do know of the name from my research with the ETPearl.com basketball website. Jack's father Delmar Cote was one of the first high school basketball coaches at the former Woodrow Wilson High School west of South Bend. Delmar Cote coached at Wilson from 1933-37 and then went to Grovertown High School where he coached from 1937-40. And heard a lot of great things about Jack's time here in South Bend and what a great influence he was.

Jack Cote was my junior school basketball coach at Madison School in South Bend, where started after finishing college at ND. He was a great role model for me along with Gene Campanale and Bert Handwork at Madison (1958-1960). RIP Jack Cote for you touched many lives of students at Madison.
