Staff Sergeant Dennis Russell Ainsworth, 73, died peacefully at the Orlando Veterans Hospital in Orlando Florida on December 25, 2023.  A veteran of both the Vietnam War and the Gulf War Desert Storm/Desert Shield, he faithfully served his country for twenty years as a Senior Munitions Specialist.

 Staff Sgt Dennis R. Ainsworth was born on October 02, 1951, in Seattle, WA to Dee and Russell Ainsworth. In 1971 he joined the Armed Forces and began his lengthy military service spending eleven years overseas.  Of his many travels, Staff Sergeant Ainsworth saw many parts of the world such as Spain, Taiwan, Japan and England to name a few.  

 Staff Sergeant Dennis R. Ainsworth attended the United States Airforce Noncommissioned Officer Leadership Course in 1976.  He was highly decorated and earned the following awards: Outstanding Unit Award with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Airforce Organizational Excellence Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with Three Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, National Defense Medal with Bronze Star, Airforce Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, Airforce Long Tour Ribbon, with Two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Airforce Longevity Service Award Ribbon with Four Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon, and the Airforce Training Ribbon to name a few.

 Staff Sergeant Dennis R. Ainsworth was a brave and loyal Airman, as well as a patient and loving father. He married Yeh ,Mae Cheung “Julie” , a Taiwanese native.  Their Marriage would span 30 years and gift the Ainsworth’s two beautiful daughters who would share in his travels and service to his country.

 He is survived by his daughters, Judy and Melinda; his 4 grandchildren Maliyah, Eli, Ezrah and Esmay; He is preceded in death by his wife, Mae “Julie” Ainsworth who passed on July 9^th 2009.

Staff Sergeant Dennis R. Ainsworth will be buried at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery with full Military Honors provided by The United States Airforce. His wife, Mae Ainsworth will join her husband and find each other once again, hand in hand.
