Obituary

Frederick L. Girbert suddenly entered Heaven on June 19, 2024.

He leaves behind his wife, Sally, his Haitian “son” Jimmy Laurentus, four children, 10 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Fred was an avid golfer and loved any sport. He was employed at Hacienda Country Club as a Starter for 15 years. Fred had a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Helping Hands in Motion (our Haitian Ministry).

Arrangements will be held at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

    It was an honor and a pleasure to know Fred for the short few years we have been neighbors. We already miss him dearly. The cul-de-sac won't be the same without his cheery morning hello. I am especially glad Carl and he got out to play a round of golf this spring. We didn't know then what a precious memory that would turn out to be. Sending prayers for strength to Sally, Jimmy, and Toby.

    I was saddened to learn of Fred’s passing. My condolences to his wife Sally and his family for their loss. I had the pleasure to meet Fred as a Golf employee and immediately took a liking to him. He was friendly and treated everyone with respect. God speed Fred.

    Fred gave a lot of himself to others, especially 'the least of these". We will definitely him in the REC jail ministry. He changed lives. Our many prayers to Sally and the family.
