Obituary

Bonnie L. Sweat, 67, went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 12, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. Bonnie was born in Miami, Florida on November 30, 1956, where she lived most of her life. She worked in the banking industry for over 20 years. On the weekends, you could find Bonnie cheering on her beloved Florida Gators or watching her favorite NASCAR driver. She was always the life of the party!

Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Thomas J. Sweat, and her mother, Ann W. Sweat. She is survived by her loving sisters, Patricia Nelson, Sue Gumm (John Gumm), and brother, David Sweat (Cherly Sweat). Always the one to spoil her nieces and nephews, she is survived by nieces, Tiffany Olsen (Ted Olsen), Paula Garritano (Joe Garritano), Christina Lanier (David Dinatelo), Amy Stewart (Christopher Stewart), Ashley Rolfe (Chris Rolfe), and nephew, Zach Lanier (Crystal Lanier). She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews, Makinley-Ann Olsen, Rachel Garritano, Austin Olsen (Jessica Olsen), Grace Garritano, Sawyer Lanier-Dinatelo, Aubrey Lanier-Dinatelo, Nora Stewart, Judah Lanier, Sammy Lanier, and Payten Rolfe.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 10th, at 11 am at the CrossLife Church (Legacy Hall) located at 45 West Broadway Street, Oviedo, 32765. There will be a fellowship following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Advent Hospice Altamonte Springs or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.

Oh the memories we made together; they will always hold a special place in my heart. Dear, longtime friends are one in a million and that is what you were to me. Rest in peace and in your own words, “I’ll catch you on the flip side.”
