Obituary

Alvin R. Mitchell, 81, of South Daytona, died on November 9, 2018. A native of New Haven, CT, he has been a resident of this area since September 2011. Alvin was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Town of Hamden with 41 years of service.. He was a US Army veteran. He loved to spend his time fishing, camping, metal detecting, walking on the beach and being with family.

Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his 1st wife Linda, his sister Dorothy Moulter, his brothers, Raymond and Robert and 2 nephews Scott Mitchell and Thomas Mitchell.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Sharron Mitchell, daughters, Sandra Naumann and Laura Montgomery, son David Mitchell, step daughter Amanda Blasius and step son, Jeremiah Blasius, brothers, Donlad Mitchell and Marshall (Carol) Mitchell and sister Nancy Clark, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

    I've been sitting here trying to find words...I am at a loss. I wish so many things were different. I wish I had the opportunity to talk to you face-to-face just one more time. There's so much that went unsaid between us.
